About Forma
A practical foundation for people building a product they want to understand, maintain, and own.
Forma brings a public website, a web application, and a backend into one source repository. Each has a clear responsibility, and each can be changed or deployed independently. The goal is to give your product a useful starting point without making its first architectural decisions invisible.
A foundation you can follow
Astro handles public content. React Router handles the application interface and server-rendered forms. FastAPI owns protected operations, and PostgreSQL holds durable data. Shared CSS keeps the surfaces consistent. Accounts, workspaces, Stripe billing, and application email are included as optional examples to configure for your product.
Context comes with the code
The repository includes setup instructions, an architecture map, AGENTS.md, guides beside the apps and extensions, and runnable checks. Those files give you and your coding agent the same starting context. They explain where a change belongs and how to verify it.
Understand what you are buying
A one-time purchase gives you ongoing download access to the current source release. An independent monthly or yearly subscription includes the latest release when your paid period begins, new releases during paid periods, and support during those periods. Every release you acquire stays yours after cancellation. A full refund or payment dispute can remove downloads funded by that payment; deleting your account removes its library access.
The current starter source uses the MIT License. The purchase and subscription describe source delivery, updates, and support; they do not replace the permissions in the included license. Third-party dependencies retain their own licenses.
